Baby Stuff I Love

Babies tend come with lots of stuff. We have done our best to not acquire too much stuff because we just don’t have a lot of space. Here are some of my favorite baby items that we just can’t live without!

Bath Pad
One of the things I really didn’t want was a big plastic bath tub. Rylie cried for every bath until Grandma Sue rescued bath time enjoyment with the Leachco Safer Bather. It allows her to have warm water all around her, and she actually likes taking a bath now!

Infantino Wrap & Tie Carrier
Some days, Rylie only wants to be held. Her favorite is to face out so she can see everything that is going on. She doesn’t want to miss anything! It’s amazing to be able to hold her AND have two hands to get a few things done (like put away her mountains of girly clothes or cook supper). There are a lot of options out there for carriers. This is one of the more affordable ones and in my opinion, it is very easy to use.

OK, technically not a baby item, but still a favorite. Rylie loves to “dance”. In fact, it is probably how we spend the majority of our days when she is not sleeping or eating. We tune in to my Pandora station during the day and I am almost never disappointed with the song selections. Steve is afraid I am turning her into a “hippie” with my taste in music. 🙂

“Hello, Bugs!” Book
This is actually one of Rylie’s favorite items. 🙂 It’s a simple board book with contrasting black and white images of bugs with splashes of color. She just stares at it when I read it to her. Her favorite is when we wiggle on the worm page. 🙂

Regular diaper creams, such as Desitin, cannot be used with cloth diapers. I like to use some CJ’s BUTTer at most diaper changes, or at least when her bum is looking a little pink. Some types of cloth diapers, such as prefolds, can cause a little more irritation if they are left on wet because there is nothing to wick the wetness away. If that happens, CJ’s BUTTer takes care of it within a day. Plus, there are great scents! How can you beat scents like “Monkey Farts” (hints of banana, grapefruit, kiwi, bubblegum, strawberries, vanilla) and “Pink Sugar” (lemon drops and pink cotton candy)!?

Stay tuned for more favorites, as I am sure we will discover more as the babe grows!
